FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
1. Does the GenSelect Fully Integrated System really work?
When used according to directions, the GenSelect Fully Integrated System is guaranteed to be 96% effective in preconception gender selection when directions are followed. The sex of your baby can be determined at home before conception. If you plan on having a baby, you can conceive a boy or conceive a girl according to your preference.
GenSelect has thousands of happy customers, and has been proven in extensive clinical tests.
2. How is the GenSelect System different from other gender selection methods?
GenSelect does not comment on alternate PGS methods specifically, but you can use the following information to help you compare the GenSelect Fully Integrated System with others.
First, it’s helpful to understand the differences between PGS and PGD, both of which are used for gender selection.
Preconception Gender Selection (PGS) is a way to determine the sex of your child before conception without medicine, doctors, clinics, hospitals, or artificial practices that are invasive to the mother’s body. This includes GenSelect.
Preimplantion Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) usually involves sperm sorting, artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, medication, doctors, clinics, and hospitals. It is expensive and non-guaranteed, and was developed to help couples avoid passing along genetically-transmitted conditions to their children. (Some conditions are transmitted only to girl babies, and some only to boy babies.) Recently, however, couples have begun using PGD to choose the sex of their babies because of personal preference, not genetic conditions.
Second, it’s helpful to understand the differences between various PGS methods. GenSelect is the worldwide leader for PGS because the Fully Integrated System has clinically tested and combined several methods into the most effective blend, and then added Ionic Equilibrium (along with GenSelect Nutriceuticals), which can be found in no other method.
Only GenSelect provides free, round-the-clock online support until customers conceive using a GenSelect Home Kit, and only GenSelect guarantees a 96% success rate with a Money-Back Gender Guarantee. It is truly a Fully Integrated System.
Other PGS methods typically consist of only a book, a calendar, or a BBT chart. Some consist of an online service that charges customers to monitor their BBT charts for them, and which charge extra for online support. And some provide only a Chinese lunar calendar and/or other “old wives’ tales.”
3. What's in the GenSelect Home Kit?
Use GenSelect’s Fully Integrated System every menstrual cycle (month) until you conceive, and get guaranteed results for your gender selection.
GenSelect Home Kits each include sufficient materials for each size of Kit, 1, 2, and 3-Months:- Instruction manual
- Easy Diet Guidelines
- Ovulation Predictor Sticks
- Specially-formulated douche for either a Boy Baby or a Girl Baby
- Digital Thermometer for measuring the female’s Basal Body Temperature (BBT)
- Charts to record BBT trends in order to identify Ovulation Day
- Two uniquely-formulated, proprietary, all-natural Nutriceutical tablet supplies for Boy Babies; or two entirely different, uniquely-formulated Nutriceutical tablet supplies for Girl Babies. No pharmaceuticals (medicines or drugs) are included in the Nutriceuticals. No prescriptions are needed.
- Total Quickresponse email support until conception while using the GenSelect Fully Integrated System.
Every GenSelect Home Kit includes the exact amount of ingredients needed to complete the Fully Integrated System for the number of months (cycles) ordered.
4. How much does the GenSelect Fully Integrated System cost?
- 1-Month Home Kit for a Boy Baby or a Girl Baby costs $199 USD
- 2-Month Home Kit for a Boy Baby or a Girl Baby costs $329 USD
- 3-Month Home Kit for a Boy Baby or a Girl Baby costs $439 USD
GenSelect recommends the economical 3-Month Home Kit for your gender selection, since most couples require more than one menstrual cycle to conceive. This provides sufficient Nutriceuticals, Ovulation Predictors, and Douches to ensure your gender selection if you wish to have a boy baby or to have a girl baby.
Replacement Nutriceuticals, Ovulation Predictors, and Douches may also be purchased if customers wish to extend their Home Kits to additional menstrual cycles.
5. When should I order, and when will I receive it?
Order your GenSelect Home Kit 8-10 weeks prior to the first menstrual cycle in which you plan to try to conceive (get pregnant). This allows time for shipping and 4-6 weeks for both mother and father to follow the GenSelect Easy Diet Guidelines before the first cycle in which they try to conceive. It also provides time for the mother to accurately chart her menstrual cycle and determine her Ovulation Day before the first cycle in which she tries to conceive.
Customers should not order more than 12 weeks before the first cycle in which they intend to try to conceive. Some elements in GenSelect Home Kits are perishable, and GenSelect strives always to provide the very freshest product possible.
GenSelect orders are shipped within 7 business days of ordering (but usually much sooner). All orders are custom-assembled using only the freshest ingredients, and are never pre-assembled and sitting on a shelf.
Then, when the order is shipped, the customer’s shipping preferences take effect: FedEx Ground, 2-Day, Overnight, International, or International Priority. So, requesting 2-Day delivery does not mean delivery within 2 days of ordering. It means delivery within 2 days of shipping.
6. How fast can I get my GenSelect Home Kit?
5-7 business days are required to custom-assemble your order (and often sooner). Then, the actual shipping time is whatever FedEx option is chosen by the customer.
When orders are shipped, customers are sent an email providing their FedEx tracking number. This enables them to follow the progress of their orders via the FedEx website (www.fedex.com).
It’s important to remember that a minimum of 4-6 weeks following the Easy Diet Guidelines are required of both mother and father prior to the first menstrual cycle in which they try to conceive.
7. What are all the ways to order and pay?
GenSelect Home Kits can be ordered online, via email, or via mail using Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. To use email or mail, send your order details to GenSelect at quickresponse@genselect.com or to the address listed below.
First, Calculate Your Total Cost By Creating A “Test Order”
To calculate your shipping charges and the total cost of your order, click the “Buy Now” button to create a “test order.” Proceed as if you were going to order via the internet, but enter a fictional credit card number such as 11111111. Follow the order process through to the end, and you will see your shipping cost calculation for each of the FedEx shipping options. You can then print it for future reference.
Alternate Payment Methods
Those preferring to order by email or mail, and then pay by personal check (bank draft), money order, or Western Union Money Order should mail their payment to the address below. Only personal checks or bank drafts drawn on banks located in the U.S. will be accepted, and orders will be shipped when they clear.
Those preferring to pay by funds transfer should contact GenSelect via email for the necessary details. Be sure to add a $25 USD transfer fee to the total. No payment plans are currently offered, so payment must be in full. Orders of this type will be shipped when payment has been confirmed and cleared.
To Pay Via Credit/Debit Card When Ordering By Email or Mail
For email/mail orders using a credit/debit card, be sure to include your card information including type (Mastercard, Visa, or Amex only), number, expiration date, name on the account, and billing address.
GenSelect

Include This Information When You Order
When you place your email or mail order using one of the above payment methods, be sure to include the following: email address (for your order confirmation and FedEx tracking number), telephone number (for FedEx shipping requirements), items you are ordering, complete shipping address (no P.O. or APO boxes, please), and your FedEx shipping preference (Express, 2-Day, etc.).
As with all GenSelect orders, your order will ship in 7 business days or less once payment has been verified.
8. Can I purchase the GenSelect System anywhere but mail order?
The GenSelect Fully Integrated System is only available via mail order. The best way to order is online from the GenSelect website.
9. Is a blood test required to use GenSelect? How about doctors?
No tests (blood tests or otherwise), physicians, clinics, or hospitals are required to use the GenSelect Home Kit successfully.
Blood tests were required of the more than 7,000 participants in the ionic equilibrium clinical tests that are the foundational research supporting GenSelect’s Fully Integrated System. Research of ALL supplements, nutriceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and coordinated programs require “before” and “after” blood tests of participants to determine how the new substances and methods affected them.
But, once the research and approvals have been completed and the product is finalized, tests are no longer required. Final products – such as aspirin and all other remedies found in stores – do not require blood tests because their development is final and approved, just like the GenSelect Fully Integrated System.
Additionally, GenSelect Home Kits are designed to be used in the privacy of your home, without doctors or clinics involved. Consulting with your physician regarding the elements of the GenSelect Home Kit is sometimes helpful, but unnecessary.
10. How does the male participate in the GenSelect Fully Integrated System?
The male partner in every couple using the GenSelect Fully Integrated System must participate in three ways:
1. Follow the Easy Diet Guidelines
2. Follow the directions for timing of intercourse
3. Impregnate the female in the normal way, not with artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, or donated sperm.
4. Support his female partner by providing back rubs and foot massages when requested (not required, but a very good idea!)
SPECIAL NOTE: The male DOES NOT consume the Nutriceutical tablets. Only the female does.
Details regarding the Easy Diet Guidelines and intercourse timing are available only to customers via the manuals included with their Home Kits.
11. How can I contact GenSelect with questions about the Fully Integrated System?
GenSelect.com looks forward to responding to questions regarding the Fully Integrated System. Email communication is used exclusively so inquirers don’t have to be near a phone at specific times for call-backs or take notes during phone conversations that include detailed information. GenSelect’s QuickResponse email has proven to be the fastest and most helpful way to convey accurate responses, and the information can be printed for future reference and for sharing with one’s mate.
Plus, email correspondence helps inquirers to focus their questions and we can reply any time of the day. This is especially important for our international customers.
Therefore, no telephone number is available for reaching GenSelect Customer Care.
GenSelect receives several types of emailed questions:
1. Questions from customers, which are always responded to first. Often, the customer can be directed to the relevant section of their Manual for their answer, but occasionally customers have questions that are unique and previously unaddressed elsewhere.
2. Questions that are already answered in the FAQ. Inquirers are often directed to the FAQ for the most complete and helpful answers which have been developed over several years.
3. New questions, which are given full attention and are often added to the FAQ.
4. Humorous questions, such as “We had sex this morning, will our baby be a girl or a boy?” GenSelect does not respond to this type of question.
5. Medical questions, which GenSelect always recommends referring to a physician.
6. Proprietary questions, the answers to which are available only to GenSelect’s valued customers.
7. Requests seeking reassurances in addition to the information provided on the GenSelect.com website. These requests often take the form of “convince me,” which GenSelect does not try to do. If the information provided on the website is insufficient for some couples, we wish them success with whatever PGS method they choose.
For the fastest, most informative, and helpful responses, please follow these email inquiry guidelines:
A. If you are a GenSelect customer, when asking a question please include your order number and the name under which your order was placed.
B. If you are not a GenSelect customer and are asking a new question not addressed in the FAQ, please identify yourself in your email.
We encourage a thorough examination of this FAQ section along with all of the other information on this website. It provides the most complete description of the GenSelect Fully Integrated System, and is the largest internet resource for information regarding PGS.
But whether you prefer a boy baby or girl baby, we look forward to your inquiries regarding the sex of your baby.
12. How does the Money-Back Gender Guarantee work?
If you follow the GenSelect Fully Integrated System directions for gender selection fully and the child naturally conceived during use of your Home Kit is not of the preferred sex, your entire purchase price will be cheerfully refunded (product cost only). That’s the GenSelect Money-Back Gender Guarantee.
Only conceptions accomplished through normal sexual intercourse qualify, and only purchasers or their designated users of complete GenSelect Home Kits qualify. Conceptions accomplished through in vitro fertilization, artificial insemination, embryo implantation, surrogacy, sperm sorting, non-consensual intercourse, and sperm donorship do not qualify.
To initiate a GenSelect Money-Back Gender Guarantee refund request, first email GenSelect at quickresponse@genselect.com. Include “Gender Guarantee” in the subject line. Provide your order number, the name on the order, your email address, and a brief description of the reason for requesting a refund.
If your request satisfies the Gender Guarantee timing requirements (see below) for gender selection and other conditions for refund, mail an English language birth certificate and physician’s verification of natural conception by the parents listed on the birth certificate (on letterhead) to:
GenSelect
395 S. Highway 65
Suite A, #141
Lincoln, CA 95648
Mail all documentation via traceable carrier such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, or Express Mail with delivery receipt.
THESE TWO DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE GENDER GUARANTEE
1. You’ll Need A Qualified Birth Certificate
The Gender Guarantee requires a so-called “long form” English-language birth certificate which includes both parents’ names, name of attending physician, delivery location (e.g., hospital), home address, and phone number. “Short form” birth certificates, such as those produced for wallets, are not acceptable. One of the parents’ names must match the original GenSelect Home Kit order form or a “gift” notification.
Any other form of gender verification (such as sonogram, amniocentesis, or blood test) will not be accepted as proof of gender. All documentation must be in the English language.
Two Types Of Long-Form, English-Language Birth Certificates Are Acceptable
A. An original birth certificate with raised seal. This type of birth certificate requires minimum verification (hospital and physician only) and speeds the refund process. Also, at the customer’s request, they will be returned at no charge.
B. A verifiable copy of a birth certificate. This type of certificate requires verification with the attending physician, hospital, and the issuing government office, and can delay the refund process.
2. You’ll need a letter from your attending physician on their office letterhead.
This letter must certify the birth date of your child and that conception was by natural means (this rules out in vitro fertilization, artificial insemination, embryo implantation, surrogacy, sperm sorting, non-consensual intercourse, and sperm donorship).
Once the verification process has been completed with your physician and hospital, your refund will be processed. This process relies heavily on the responsiveness of both hospital and physician.
Timing Requirements for the GenSelect Money-Back Gender Guarantee
Timing requirements ensure that couples have sufficient time to use their Home Kits according to directions. Gender Guarantee refunds must be requested and all documentation and required information received for review and verification from the customer within 90 days of the child’s birth. Premature births must be verified by mail on letterhead stationery by the attending physician.
Minimum Timing Requirement
The minimum timing for qualifying for the GenSelect Money-Back Gender Guarantee is an original birth certificate dated no fewer than 46 weeks from FedEx delivery. This includes: A minimum of 4 weeks for both mother and father to follow the Easy Diet Guidelines before the first menstrual cycle in which they try to conceive; plus 2 weeks from the first day of their cycle to their Ovulation Day; plus 40 weeks for gestation. Premature births must be verified in writing on letterhead stationery by the attending physician. Complete refill orders (i.e., 1-15 Nutriceuticals, plus 16-30 Nutriceuticals, plus Douche) are dated 42 weeks from the date received.
Maximum Timing Requirement
The maximum timing for qualifying for the GenSelect Money-Back Gender Guarantee is an original birth certificate dated no more than 58 weeks from FedEx delivery for 1-Month Home Kits; 62 weeks for 2-Month Home Kits; and 66 weeks for 3-Month Home Kits. Add 2 weeks from the date received for complete refill orders (i.e., 1-15 Nutriceuticals, plus 16-30 Nutriceuticals, plus Douche).
If Your Order Is Intended As A Gift
Many GenSelect customers receive Home Kits as gifts. For the couple who uses the Home Kit to qualify for the GenSelect Money-Back Gender Guarantee, they must be registered as such within 2 weeks of order receipt. To do so, simply email quickresponse@genselect.com with “Gift Registration” in the subject line. Provide the original order number and the names, street address, and email address of the gift recipients.
13. How are GenSelect Home Kits packaged & shipped?
GenSelect Home Kits for gender selection are shipped only via FedEx to assure obtaining a signed delivery receipt. Special duties or customs fees required for international deliveries are rare, are the responsibility of the purchaser, and cannot be predicted by GenSelect.
GenSelect orders are processed, custom-assembled, and packaged in a maximum of 7 business days (often sooner), and then shipped. Actual delivery time following the shipping date depends on the FedEx option you choose (next day, two-day, etc.), and is timed from the day the order is shipped, not from the day it is ordered.
Orders for Boy or Girl Home Kits for influencing baby gender are always shipped with a signed delivery receipt required, thus FedEx does not deliver GenSelect gender selection orders to Post Office Boxes or APO addresses. Customers requiring delivery to a P.O. Box or APO address without a signature required forfeit return privileges.
All GenSelect Home Kits are shipped in a single container, regardless of which Kit is purchased. For example, GenSelect 3-Month Home Kits do not contain three separate Kits. It’s all one Kit. This saves customers money because, for instance, only one BBT Thermometer is needed instead of three. Additional customer savings come from packaging material for just one Kit instead of three, and the resulting lower cost of shipping a package that weighs less. The same is true of the 2-Month Home Kit.
GenSelect’s external packaging (when delivered) does NOT carry the name of the company or the product.
International Orders
- All packages shipped outside the US are considered international.
- FedEx International Priority is the fastest and most reliable form of shipment for International orders.
- International Customs Information: Any postage price you pay to GenSelect covers the full cost of shipping the goods to you. Purchasers outside the U.S. must determine if there are any additional duties or taxes required by their countries. These cannot be calculated or paid by GenSelect. In some countries, certain Value Added Taxes (VAT) and Goods & Services Taxes (GST) are required, but are returned to the purchaser at the end of the year by their government.
- Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
- International customers requiring or requesting delivery via non-traceable carriers such as the US Postal Service forgo all claims of non-delivery.
14. Do you ship everywhere?
GenSelect Home Kits have been shipped to happy families in over 80 countries, and all shipments are via FedEx with a signature required for delivery.
GenSelect’s ordering system calculates worldwide FedEx shipping costs, but purchasers outside the U.S. must determine if there are any additional duties or taxes required by their countries. These cannot be calculated or paid by GenSelect. In some countries, certain Value Added Taxes (VAT) and Goods & Services Taxes (GST) are required, but are returned to the purchaser at the end of the year by their government.
Also, a very few countries require shipment via U.S. Postal Service rather than FedEx.
Orders are always shipped with a signed delivery receipt required, thus FedEx does not deliver GenSelect orders to Post Office Boxes or APO addresses. Customers requiring delivery to a P.O. Box or APO address without a signature required forfeit return privileges.
GenSelect orders are assembled, packaged, and shipped in a maximum of 7 business days. Actual delivery time following the shipping date depends on the FedEx option you choose (next day, two-day, etc.), and is timed from the day the order is shipped, not from the day it is ordered.
15. What is your Return Policy?
Contact GenSelect at quickresponse@genselect.com to request a Return Merchandise Authorization Number. On the subject line of the email write “RMA Request.”
Provide your order number, the name on the order, your email address, and the reason for returning your gender selection Home Kit. If all conditions for return are met (below), a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number will be provided. Refunds are made for complete, unopened Home Kits only, less a 15% restocking fee, usually within 2-3 weeks. Note: Products that are received by the customer and then returned without an RMA number will be returned to the sender. Refused orders will also incur a FedEx return charge that will be deducted from their refund.
Conditions For Return
- Returned gender selection products must be unopened with the seal on the GenSelect box unbroken and intact.
- Returned products must be received by GenSelect within 30 days of customer reception. For orders that are undeliverable due to customer inavailability or refusal to pay import duties or taxes, customer reception date will be the first date that the customer was notified by FedEx that the order was available for delivery.
All GenSelect Home Kits, regardless of their size (1, 2, or 3-Month) are shipped in a single, sealed container. Opening this sealed container makes all of the contents unreturnable. Thus, getting pregnant in the first month of trying after purchasing a 3-Month Home Kit does NOT make the remaining contents returnable.
If a customer has indicated in any way that they have qualified for receipt of the electronic version of the GenSelect Manual and later qualifies for a refund, $150 will be deducted from their refund. The GenSelect Manual is extremely valuable. The electronic version – meant for the convenience of customers – is easy to duplicate and distribute, thus infringing on GenSelect’s patent and intellectual property and rising to the level of counterfeiting. (This does not apply to Gender Guarantee refunds.)
Orders that are refused when delivery is attempted will be refunded less a 15% restocking fee and shipping costs in both directions.
Shipping Instructions
- Ship postage-paid using a traceable carrier and insure for the full purchase price. Damaged or lost-in-transit shipments will be the responsibility of the purchaser
- Pack the unopened product into its original shipping container or similar container to avoid damage in transit.
- Mark your RMA Number in heavy black marker on the outside of the shipping container on at least two sides.
- Email or fax (916.290.0640) a copy of your shipping delivery notification to GenSelect after your returned order is received.

16. Should I use the GenSelect Home Kit immediately when I receive it?
Yes. Begin your gender selection program to conceive a girl baby or conceive a boy baby immediately by using the Easy Diet Guidelines and the Basal Body Temperature charting directions in your boy or girl Home Kit. The Easy Diet Guidelines for gender selection are an extremely important part of your success using the GenSelect Fully Integrated System.
17. What are the steps in the GenSelect Fully Integrated System?
- Read the entire GenSelect gender selection Boy or Girl Manual.
- Begin the Easy Diet Guidelines for both mother and father.
- Chart your ovulation cycle using the easy directions and Home Kit contents.
- Begin taking the Boy or Girl Nutriceuticals as directed (these are for the female only) during the menstrual cycle in which you plan to try to conceive.
- Test for pregnancy following intercourse (sex).
- If pregnancy did not occur, continue trying for your Boy Baby or Girl Baby, and continue the Easy Diet Guidelines.
The comprehensive Boy or Girl Manuals provide all of the easy, step-by-step instructions for the patented GenSelect system. All gender selection steps are completed at home, and no physicians or pharmaceuticals (medicines) are involved.
18. How was the 96% success rate determined?
The success rate of each GenSelect Home Kit component for gender selection is over 80% effective individually, as determined by documented independent clinical trials. By combining Home Kit products, practices, and procedures into a Fully Integrated System with each acting as an independent variable, the statistical probability of conceiving the desired Boy Baby or Girl Baby exceeds 96%. This level of success can only be achieved by strictly following the GenSelect Fully Integrated System directions for determining baby gender (sex selection).
Also, clinical data from a study of 7,810 patients using the foundational science supporting the GenSelect Fully Integrated System (ionic equilibrium) demonstrated a 96% success rate for boy babies or girl babies with absolutely no adverse effects reported.
However, success rates among GenSelect customers are not recorded for two reasons:
- The conditions used during GenSelect’s documented clinical trials cannot be duplicated in actual use. It is impossible to monitor or control actual customer practices, or to make sure all directions are followed.
- In the interests of privacy, GenSelect does not contact customers regarding their success in gender selection; whether they conceive a boy baby or conceive a girl baby.
19. Is the GenSelect Fully Integrated System approved by the FDA?
The GenSelect Home Kit components for gender selection which require FDA approval have been awarded that distinction. These are the digital basal body temperature thermometer and the ovulation predictors, which are FDA approved for their intended uses in gender selection (baby sex selection). The douche and Nutriceuticals do not require FDA approval, but they follow DSHEA (Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act) guidelines and are manufactured and produced in FDA-approved facilities utilizing CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Processes) guidelines.
20. Is the success rate the same for boys and girls?
Yes. Couples who want a Girl Baby and couples who want a Boy Baby enjoy similar success rates for gender selection (baby sex selection) when using their GenSelect Home Kits with the GenSelect Fully Integrated System.
21. We have a history of boy babies (or girl babies). Can we still conceive a baby of the other sex?
GenSelect customers who already have two or three children of one sex successfully conceive babies of the opposite sex. That’s because only the GenSelect Fully Integrated System changes the traditional chances (50% boys and 50% girls) to 96% for the preferred sex regardless of the number of children of either sex previously conceived.
Additionally, an incorrect but commonly-held belief is that if there is a preponderance of girls or boys in a family, the gender of the next child is predetermined. This is an old wives tale, and has consistently been proven to be untrue.
It seems reasonable to think that if fathers conceiving only sons have only Y sperms (Male sperms). Or, that fathers conceiving only girls have only X sperms (Female sperms). But in fact, years of testing have shown that all men have equal numbers of X and Y sperms – even men who have fathered only boys or only girls.
This is because the process by which sperms are formed – spermatogenesis – guarantees that an equal number of X and Y sperms are produced in every father’s body. Here’s why: Cells in your body are reproducing all the time by a process called mitosis, in which cells make exact copies of themselves. However, mitosis is not at work when sperm cells are created. Instead, sperm cells are created by a different process called meiosis, which creates the exact same number of new X sperms and Y sperms. Therefore, all men have equal numbers of Male (Y) and Female (X) sperms.
While every couple’s natural chances of conceiving a girl or boy are always 50/50, only GenSelect increases your chances to 96% for conceiving the gender of your choice.
22. How long do we need to follow the Easy Diet Guidelines?
Couples must follow the Easy Diet Guidelines for 4-6 weeks prior to the first menstrual cycle in which they plan to try to conceive, and continue until they conceive a boy or conceive a girl (in order to qualify for the Money-Back Gender Guarantee).
GenSelect’s Diet Guidelines are named “Easy” because they are just that, easy. But the Diet Guidelines are a very important part of the Fully Integrated System and are absolutely necessary for successful gender selection.
This is not a weight-loss diet, and it involves both mother and father for the best chance at successful gender selection (baby sex selection). To conceive a boy baby, or to conceive a girl baby, it is important to manage the body chemistries of both mother and father to produce the best chance for success. The Easy Diet Guidelines are essential for this.
23. What are the GenSelect Easy Diet Guidelines?
GenSelect’s Easy Diet Guidelines are not designed for losing weight. Instead, they gently adjust the parents’ body chemistries to help produce a healthy child of the desired sex. Diet is a very important part of the GenSelect Fully Integrated System.
NO REGIONAL, GEOGRAPHIC, OR RELIGIOUS MODIFICATIONS ARE NECESSARY, RECOMMENDED, OR PROVIDED FOR THE EASY DIET GUIDELINES.
The Easy Diet Guidelines include a list of approximately two dozen food items to be avoided by both parents during use of the Fully Integrated System, and no strict menu planning or meal preparation is involved. That’s why the guidelines are called “Easy.” For successful gender selection (baby sex selection), the Easy Diet Guidelines are absolutely essential. To conceive a boy baby, or to conceive a girl baby, this part of the GenSelect Fully Integrated System is very important.
Alcohol is neither a prohibited nor recommended part of the GenSelect Easy Diet Guidelines. Smoking by either partner is strongly discouraged at any time, but has not been proven to negatively effect the success rate of the GenSelect Fully Integrated System.
24. I'm a vegetarian. How will the Easy Diet Guidelines affect me?
Vegetarians are not affected by the Easy Diet Guidelines for gender selection (baby sex selection) because consumption of meat products is not involved for successful gender selection of either a Boy Baby or a Girl Baby. The Easy Diet Guidelines simply list certain foods to avoid, and a few to consume more of.
25. Are the Nutriceuticals safe?
Yes. Safety was the top priority during the development and clinical testing of the GenSelect Fully Integrated System for gender selection (baby sex selection), and thousands of couples have used GenSelect Home Kits to successfully conceive a Boy Baby or to conceive a Girl Baby. No adverse effects have ever been reported from use of GenSelect’s unique blend of all-natural Nutriceuticals to influence baby gender.
26. Will GenSelect Nutriceuticals interfere with my medications?
A broad array of medications is available by prescription from physicians. GenSelect’s all-natural Nutriceuticals for gender selection (baby sex selection) contain only naturally-occurring compounds such as those you might ingest in your daily diet.
For best success in choosing baby gender, the Nutriceuticals must be taken at least an hour prior to other medications, or two or more hours after taking other medications. Do not discontinue taking any prescription unless your physician advises you to.
27. Can I take Clomid or other fertility medications while using the GenSelect Fully Integrated System?
Clomid is a fertility medication prescribed by physicians to induce ovulation, and there is no indication of its use reducing the effectiveness of the GenSelect Fully Integrated System. Additionally, no tests have reported a negative reaction between any fertility medication and GenSelect products, and there is no indication of decreased success among GenSelect customers using fertility medications.
28. Is douching safe?
Yes, when done according to directions. GenSelect’s specially-formulated, gender-specific douches are used only once during each menstrual cycle in which a couple tries to conceive, which eliminates risk while enhancing the sex selection process. Reports regarding douching concerns always refer to using douches frequently, not just once, and have even been proven incorrect in recent studies (click on the link below).
For the latest information regarding vaginal douching, it is helpful to consult www.WebMD.com, a trustworthy source for medical information. An interesting medical update on the safety of douching can be found here: To Douche Or Not To Douche.
29. Can I take prenatal supplements or multivitamins while following GenSelect's Fully Integrated System? What about Folic Acid?
All of the GenSelect nutriceuticals contain the recommended amount of Folic Acid for women trying to conceive or who have already conceived.
GenSelect nutriceuticals are not the same as prenatal vitamins, but are all-natural and specially formulated to gently adjust body conditions to influence gender. However, they do contain many of the same elements found in prenatal vitamins.
We recommend against the use of prenatal supplements and multivitamins while using the GenSelect Fully Integrated System. They may contain vitamins and elements you are supposed to avoid when trying for a boy or girl baby. When you learn you’re pregnant, finish the GenSelect nutriceuticals (days 16-31), which also function as prenatal vitamins.
If you do not conceive during the cycle in which you try, the 16-30 Nutriceuticals help you maintain the body chemistry that’s best for conceiving a child of the preferred gender in future cycles.
30. If my menstrual cycle is irregular, can I still be successful with a GenSelect Home Kit?
Yes. Simply follow the easy directions in the GenSelect Fully Integrated System.
More important than your menstrual cycle is the number of days after the beginning of your cycle your Ovulation occurs. That number is usually more regular than the number of days in the cycle. For instance, if Ovulation occurs on Day 15, it most often continues to do so even when the total length of the cycle varies. The GenSelect Fully Integrated System enables couples to pinpoint their Ovulation Day despite variable menstrual cycles.
However, GenSelect Home Kits cannot affect either fertility or a customer’s Ovulation Day. Please consult your physician regarding these issues.
31. When should I begin charting my ovulation cycle?
Immediately upon receiving your GenSelect Fully Integrated System, follow the easy instructions and use the Home Kit contents to begin predicting your ovulation cycle. The more cycles you can chart, the more accurate and effective your Home Kit will be for you.
For mothers who have recently discontinued residual-type birth control measures (which often have a continuing effect for a period of time after being discontinued), it is even more important to chart her BBT in order to determine when her menstrual cycles again become predictable. It is not unusual for cycles to exhibit erratic patterns after discontinuance of certain birth control methods such as pills, patch, or intrauterine devices.
32. How do I determine when I ovulate?
GenSelect Fully Integrated System Home Kits include a Basal Body Temperature thermometer, BBT charts, Ovulation Predictors, and easy directions for tracking and predicting your ovulation date.
33. I have fertility problems. Will the Kit help me conceive?
No. GenSelect is not a fertility aid and will not help you get pregnant. GenSelect influences your chances of having either a boy or girl before you get pregnant.
34. Which determines the sex of a baby: The Mother's Egg or the Father's Sperm?
The Father’s sperm always determines the sex of a baby.
Here’s why: Half of the father’s sperms are “Y Chromosome” or “Boy Sperms.” The other half are “X Chromosome” or “Girl Sperms.” The Mothers’ eggs carry X Chromosomes only. If an X (girl sperm) fertilizes the egg, there will be two X Chromosomes and the baby will be a girl. If a Y (boy sperm) fertilizes the egg, the Chromosomes will be XY, meaning a boy baby.
Men ALWAYS produce equal numbers of boy sperms and girl sperms.
Physically, boy sperms and girl sperms are slightly different in terms of their chemistry, how large and vigorous they are, how long they live, and how fast they swim toward the egg.
That’s why the Mother’s vaginal environment, through which all sperms must travel to reach the egg, is also very important. This environment, depending on the proximity to ovulation day and the mother’s body chemistry, can favor either boy sperms or girl sperms. Only GenSelect’s Fully Integrated System addresses and influences all of these factors to ensure that the correct sperm fertilizes the egg.
35. Will the Home Kit work if I'm already pregnant?
No. The GenSelect Fully Integrated System is only for couples who have not yet conceived.
36. How are twins affected using the GenSelect Fully Integrated System?
If twins are conceived naturally without the aid of fertility medication and while using the GenSelect Fully Integrated System according to directions, the success rate for the desired sex is the same as with single babies.
However, the GenSelect System cannot influence or cause the conception of twins.
37. Why are there various sizes of GenSelect Home Kits?
1-Month, 2-Month, and 3-Month GenSelect Home Kits are offered because mothers require various numbers of menstrual cycles to conceive. GenSelect does not affect the unique timing of conception for each customer.
Many mothers know how long it takes them to get pregnant because they’ve borne children previously, and they order accordingly. First-time hopeful mothers have no idea how long it will take them to get pregnant, so they should consult with their physician, mother, and female siblings for advice. Also, various internet sources provide statistical averages based on research into the average number of menstrual cycles women require to get pregnant.
Additionally, using a GenSelect Home Kit for more than one month does not increase the success rate for conceiving a child of the preferred gender. When directions are followed, the success rate for the GenSelect Fully Integrated System is always 96%.
If you require more than 3 cycles to conceive, GenSelect refill products are available on the website to replace the “consumable” elements in Home Kits.
SPECIAL NOTE: All GenSelect Home Kits are shipped in a single box. In other words, 1-Month Kits are shipped in a single box, 2-Month Kits are shipped in a single box, and 3-Month Kits are shipped in a single box. 2-Month Kits do NOT arrive as two separate Kits, and 3-Month Kits do NOT arrive as three separate Kits. This saves customers money because, for instance, only one BBT Thermometer is needed instead of three. Additional customer savings come from packaging material for just one Kit instead of three, and the resulting lower cost of shipping a package that weighs less. The same is true of the 2-Month Home Kit.
38. Should we add other PGS methods, supplements, vitamins, or food products to the GenSelect Fully Integrated System for greater success?
GenSelect does not comment on other Preconception Gender Selection (PGS) methods, and discourages combining other practices with the GenSelect Fully Integrated System. Varying from the GenSelect instructions invalidates the Money-Back Gender Guarantee.
If adding various supplements, vitamins, or food products to the tested and researched Fully Integrated System could improve customer success to exceed the guaranteed 96%, GenSelect would naturally have done so.
The GenSelect System is the only finely-balanced, clinically-proven way of conceiving a child of the sex you prefer.
39. Can't you just give me a list of the foods that are OK to eat during the time we are following the GenSelect Easy Diet Guidelines?
GenSelect does not possess a list of the millions of food items that can be consumed during use of GenSelect Home Kits. If we had such a list and provided it to our customers – either in a very large internet download or in a very thick book – it would require days for them to examine it. Instead GenSelect customers are best served with a very short list of less than thirty items to avoid.
40. How can I calculate my shipping cost and delivery time before ordering?
To calculate your shipping charges, click the “Buy Now” button to create a “test order.” Proceed as if you were going to order via the internet, but enter a fictional credit card number such as 11111111. Follow the order process through to the end, and you will see your shipping cost calculation for each of the FedEx shipping options. You can then print it for future reference.
There is also a handy currency converter on the order page, which can also be reached via this link: Universal Currency Converter.
41. Do you accept payment in currencies other than U.S. Dollars?
No, we cannot at this time. To convert your currency to U.S. dollars, we recommend that you use the following link: Universal Currency Converter.
42. How can I calculate the cost in currencies other than U.S. Dollars?
To convert your currency to U.S. dollars, we recommend that you use the following link: Universal Currency Converter.
43. If I am breastfeeding (nursing), will GenSelect still work and will it have any effect on my nursing baby?
GenSelect Home Kits are effective as soon as the mother resumes regular menstrual cycles, and GenSelect Nutriceuticals have no detrimental effect on nursing mothers or their babies.
44. When should I discontinue birth control measures before using my GenSelect Home Kit?
Consult your physician regarding the timing of your ability to conceive after discontinuing the use of certain birth control measures that have a residual (lasting) effect after being discontinued. This would include chemical birth control measures such as pills or patch, and intrauterine devices. Other birth control measures such as condoms, diaphragms, or timing are not included because they have no residual influence after being discontinued.
When your physician indicates that you are fecund again (able to conceive), you can begin the GenSelect Fully Integrated System.
45. Are there any side effects to the GenSelect Fully Integrated System?
No side effects have ever been confirmed during use of the products included in GenSelect Home Kits.
46. Can I use the GenSelect System with sperm sorting, artificial insemination, donor sperm, or in vitro fertilization?
The GenSelect Fully Integrated System is not compatible with invasive, expensive, fertilization/gender-selection methods such as sperm sorting, artificial insemination, donor sperm, or in vitro fertilization. These methods were originally designed to help couples conceive and to avoid genetically-transmitted conditions, but eventually became used as gender selection methods.
The central reason for this restriction is that there is no guarantee that the male donor followed the GenSelect Easy Diet Guidelines when producing the required sperm.
47. Can I give a GenSelect Home Kit as a gift?
Yes! Many GenSelect customers receive Home Kits as gifts, often from their parents. However, for the couple who uses the Home Kit to qualify for the GenSelect Money-Back Gender Guarantee, they must be registered as such within 2 weeks of order receipt. To do so, simply email quickresponse@genselect.com with “Gift Registration” in the subject line. Provide the original order number and the names, street address, telephone number, and email address of the gift recipients.
48. Do my chances of success increase by using the Home Kit for two months or more?
No. Using a GenSelect Home Kit for more than one month does not increase the success rate for conceiving a child of the preferred gender. When directions are followed, the success rate for the GenSelect Fully Integrated System is always 96%.
49. If I have a specific condition (diabetes, M.S., PCOS, etc.) will GenSelect work for me?
If your physician confirms that both you and your mate are able to conceive via natural means (i.e., without in vitro fertilization, sperm sorting, donor sperm, or artificial insemination), the GenSelect Fully Integrated System for Preconception Gender Selection will be 96% effective if you follow the directions precisely.
50. Who takes the Nutriceuticals and when?
Only the mother takes the GenSelect Nutriceuticals, and only during her Conception Cycles (menstrual cycles in which she and her mate try to conceive after following the Easy Diet Guidelines for a minimum of 4 weeks).
51. What's in the GenSelect Nutriceuticals?
GenSelect will provide a list of Nutriceutical ingredients to couples who request it. In your request, include your preferred gender (Boy or Girl, since the ingredients are different for each), your name, and your city of residence. Amounts of each ingredient are provided only to customers.
52. What is a Conception Cycle?
Conception Cycles are the menstrual cycles in which GenSelect customers try to conceive (get pregnant) while using the GenSelect Fully Integrated System and following directions precisely.
Part of the GenSelect System involves preparing the bodies of both mother and father for maximum success in conceiving a child of the preferred sex. This preparation comes BEFORE the Conception Cycle. These preparations include the Easy Diet Guidelines, BBT Charting, and use of Ovulation Predictors.
53. How long has the GenSelect Fully Integrated System been available?
The foundational science supporting the Fully Integrated System was concluded, tested, and proven in the mid-70s, and GenSelect Home Kits have been available via internet purchase since 2003.
54. Why aren't directions included with refill orders?
GenSelect assumes that refill orders are from customers who previously purchased a complete Home Kit that included a GenSelect Manual. Manuals are only provided with complete Home Kit orders and cannot be ordered separately.
Customers who order only refills will miss many of the features that make the GenSelect Fully Integrated System successful, including a Manual and full, QuickResponse email support. Further, they cannot qualify for the GenSelect Money-Back Gender Guarantee.
55. What is the success rate of the GenSelect System if we want to add to it, change it, or leave parts out?
Customers occasionally ask for approval to negotiate or modify the timing, instructions, or contents of the GenSelect Fully Integrated System. These questions often involve the Easy Diet Guidelines (“Can’t we drink just a little coffee?”).
Another common question regards the success expectations of the GenSelect System if the customer leaves out one or more of the steps, substitutes some of their own, or changes the timing specified in the Manual. These questions usually begin with “We know the GenSelect System is 96% successful, but how successful would it be IF?”
Some of these questions are:
1. What if my husband won’t cooperate with the Easy Diet Guidelines?
2. What if we don’t want to use the Nutriceuticals?
3. What if we want to substitute the Chinese lunar calendar for the Ovulation Charting?
4. What if we want to buy now and wait for two years to use our Home Kit?
5. What if we abbreviate (shorten) or alter the timing directions?
Decades of GenSelect testing has produced the best formula for our 96% success rate. If improvements are tested and found to be successful, they are included in the System. However, testing the Fully Integrated System with various parts missing would be like automobile manufacturers testing their vehicles with three wheels instead of four.
Diet questions must always be considered in light of the customer’s objective, which is conceiving a baby of the desired sex. They must decide if they can follow the gentle, Easy Diet Guidelines for a short period of time in order to achieve their dream.
It’s also important to remember that the GenSelect Money-Back Gender Guarantee is voided for customers who choose to modify the Fully Integrated System.
56. What is the GenSelect patent?
The GenSelect patent is #6,773,726, and is for “Method and kit for increasing the chances of conceiving a child having a desired gender.”
To view this patent, we recommend accessing the United States Patent and Trademark Office website at www.uspto.gov. Once there, click on “Patents” and scroll down to “Search Patents.” Click on “Patent Number Search,” and enter the patent number above.
57. Is it possible to have more X (girl) sperms than Y (boy) sperms?
No. Men ALWAYS produce equal numbers of boy sperms and girl sperms.
